Good for

Rural hotels, guesthouses, boutique hotels, country inns, agriturismi and restaurants with rooms. Places that sell a room, a table and the area around the house.

Limitations, so you know before you buy

Light theme only. Booking goes to the hotel's own engine: Lumbre does not take payments. Five CMS collections, so publishing needs Framer Pro (Basic allows two), and publishing both languages needs Framer's Localization add-on. Everything is demo content: photos from Unsplash and legal texts with an invented company.

Four decisions that shaped it

  1. Booking goes to the hotel's own engine

Hotels don't take bookings on their website; their booking engine does. Lumbre has a booking bar on the home page and a modal that opens from any Book button. Dates, guests and promo code travel as URL parameters, so it works with most engines and stores nothing.

  2. A real menu, with the 14 allergens

In Spain and the rest of the EU a restaurant has to show the 14 allergens. Every dish carries them as line icons drawn for Lumbre, which take the text colour on any palette. The menu lives in the CMS, so the kitchen changes it without touching the layout.

  3. Two languages, both finished

The Spanish version is not a quick pass over the home page. Every page, CMS item, SEO title, alt text and room URL is translated. Publish in one language at no extra cost, or in both with Framer Localization.

  4. Three palettes, one set of styles

Encina, Teja and Mar share thirteen colour styles named by role: Background, Ink, Accent, Line and the rest. Change the palette and the whole house follows, from the header to the allergen icons. The demo has a switcher, so a hotel can try all three before buying.

Before you buy

01What happens after I pay?

Polar sends you a receipt and the remix link. Open it, choose your Framer workspace, and the whole site is duplicated into your account with every page, CMS collection, style and both languages.

02Do I need a paid Framer plan?

You can remix and edit on a free Framer account. To publish on your own domain you need a Framer site plan, paid to Framer, not to me. With five CMS collections Lumbre needs Pro, and publishing both languages needs the Localization add-on.

03Does it work with my booking engine?

If your engine accepts dates and guests in the URL, yes, and most do. You set the engine address and the parameter names in the booking component. If yours only works with its own widget, the Book buttons can link to it instead.

04What does support cover?
