Figma

Figma design ready to build, no guesswork.

Figma has been my main tool for years. I design websites, apps and interfaces, clickable prototypes and design systems with components, variables and auto layout, organised so your team or developer can build them without asking.

Components of the miguelrecio.es design system in Figma

A messy Figma file gets expensive in development.

Unnamed layers, loose colours, screens that don’t match and states nobody designed. Every question from a developer costs time and money. A well-built file is part of the deliverable, not an extra: this very website is designed in Figma as a system, with its components, at four sizes.

  • Components and variables.

Colours, type and spacing as variables; components with their variants and states.

  • Prototypes people get.

Your client or team tries the journey before any code is written.

  • Ready for Dev Mode.

Auto layout, clear names and notes, so it gets built without guesswork.

What I do in Figma

Figma-only, or end to end if I then build it in Framer or code.

  • Web and interface design

Websites, landing pages, dashboards and apps for desktop, tablet and phone.

  • Clickable prototypes

Interactive journeys to test with clients or pitch to investors.

  • Design systems

Styles, variables, components with variants and documentation, with colour modes if needed.

  • Clean-up and handoff

I tidy existing files and prepare the developer handoff with Dev Mode.

Who I design in Figma for

When the deliverable is the file, or when the file has to match what gets built.

Questions before you start

01Do you design in Figma only, without development?

Yes. You can take the design to your team or provider. If you prefer, I build it myself in Framer or code too.

02Can you clean up a Figma file we already have?

Yes: I rename layers, turn repeated elements into components, move colours and type to variables and styles, and leave it ready for Dev Mode.

03Do you work with variables and modes?

Yes. Colour, spacing and type as variables, with light and dark modes or several brands when needed.

04Do I keep the file?

Yes. It lives in your Figma account or team, with every component. It’s yours.

05Do you make prototypes for pitches?

Yes: clickable prototypes for desktop and phone to test with clients, users or investors before any code.

06How much does it cost?

It depends on the number of screens, breakpoints and components. I send a fixed price after a 30-minute call.
